Announces Aaron Gwin to 2012 Mountain Bike Team Roster and Summer Event Lineup

HALF MOON BAY, CA (April 19, 2012) – GoPro, maker of the world’s most versatile cameras and producer of today’s most engaging content, is proud to be the official wearable HD camera of the Sea Otter Classic, a renowned cycling event for both professional and amateur athletes taking place in Monterey, CA from April 19-22. GoPro also welcomes 2011 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup winner, Aaron Gwin, to the GoPro MTB Team.

 

The Camp of Champions Air Bag presented by GoPro is returning to the 2012 Sea Otter Classic. GoPro athletes will make scheduled appearances and will use GoPro HD HERO2 cameras to record Air Bag participants, providing analysis and tips for the jumpers. If you’re into dirt jumping or slopestyle, or just want to experience the feeling of hitting a huge jump, don’t miss out on this opportunity to take your riding and jumping to the next level in a safe and controlled freeride training environment under the eyes of the coaches from Camp of Champions and the lens of the GoPro HD HERO2 cameras.

This year, GoPro will support some of the most premier biking events in the industry as the official wearable HD camera including; Crankworx Whistler (August 10-19), The Oregon Enduro Series (June 2-September 9), NW Cup Downhill Race Series (April 26-August 5), and the Claymore Challenge / Highland Mountain happening in New Hampshire this summer.

GoPro’s team of riders play a pivotal role in helping GoPro develop products like the HD HERO2 camera, with unique athlete perspectives, filming techniques, and insider feedback that leads to new mounts and camera features. GoPro is proud to announce the 2012 Mountain Bike Team, including Aaron Gwin, Aaron Chase, Brian Lopes, Brandon Semenuk, Darren Berrecloth, Mike Montgomery and the Marzocchi GoPro Shimano DH Race Team.
